Bethics Oy
My name is Miia Hapuoja, the owner of Bethics Oy. I have worked in global expert and director positions in the area of social sustainability, human rights, occupational safety and HR for almost 20 years. I worked alongside factory and procurement organisations on the challenges of ethical and corporate social responsibility. My work included strategy and roadmap planning, discussions with stakeholders, social risk assessments (including M&A), numerous social audits (SA8000) and trainings. I was the first in Finland to carry out a human rights impact assessment back in 2008 as part of the UNGP international pilot project.
In 2023 I founded Bethics Oy to meet the need that businesses are facing as a result of the increasing regulation. My business background enables me to provide concrete and precise guidance and assistance to companies that want to integrate social and human rights responsibilities into their operations.
Recently I have conducted human rights impact assessments (HRIA), social responsibility training, ethical codes of conduct, audit training, supply chain social risk assessments, and social responsibility development in procurement.
